More progress has been made in 14 years than in 37 years: Palak
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has commented that there has been more development in the past 14 years than in the last 37 years because the ruling government keeps its promises to the letter.
The state minister expressed this opinion while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed academic building of Durgapur High School and Durgapur Ideal Technical High School and College on Sunday.
Palak said, he never saw a computer while studying in the university. Today, our boys and girls studying in class six-seven are learning computers in the computer lab. Joy Bhai has set up Sheikh Kamal IT Incubation Center so that 85 thousand children of 345 schools-colleges-madrasas of Singra can get respectable employment after completing their studies. He has built the Knowledge Park, Technical centers, schools and colleges. Here we will provide employment to 20 thousand people in the next 5-10 years. And since you elected me three times in a row, I have been able to develop so much. In 14 years, the people of Singra have proved how powerful a vote is. In 37 years, we have paid for the wrong decision.
In the event, the State Minister of ICT apologized to those who were dissatisfied with the failure to fulfill their promises.
Local Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahmuda Khatun presided over the event. Singra Municipal Mayor Jannatul Ferdous, Upazila Awami League President Ohidur Rahman Sheikh, former Chairman Azharul Islam and others were present among others.
